Goal: To teach the rhythm of "My turn, Your turn" without words.
Instruction:
The Setup: Sit opposite your child on the floor, legs open in a 'V' shape.
The Action: Roll a ball to them. Say "Your Turn."
The Wait: Wait for them to roll it back. If they hold it, gently guide their hand to push it back. Say "My Turn."
The Progression: Once they get the rhythm, switch to a toy car, then eventually to "making a sound" back and forth.
Goal: To force interaction. They cannot build the toy alone.
Instruction:
The Roles: Assign 3 jobs (or just 2 for younger kids):
The Engineer: Has the instructions (Mother).
The Supplier: Has the bricks (Child).
The Builder: Puts them together (Dad or Sibling).
The Rule: The Builder cannot take a brick until the Engineer asks the Supplier for it.
The Result: The child (Supplier) must listen and interact to play the game .
Instruction:
The Observation: Watch what your child is doing (e.g., banging a spoon, rocking, or making a "Ahhh" sound).
The Copy: Do exactly the same thing. Same rhythm, same volume.
The Effect: The child will often stop and look at you in surprise ("Hey, you speak my language!").
The Connection: When they look, smile and wait for them to lead again .
